Seasonal Activities
Any day of the week, any season of the year, Syracuse bustles with special events. Festivals, fairs, shows and celebrations – plan to see it in Syracuse.
fuse2005 takes place during the beautiful month of October. Crisp nights and warm days bring out the brilliant colors of autumn.

How about:

  • Driving historic Routes 5 and 20 and “leaf-peeping”? The rolling hills just to the south of the city of Syracuse are breathtaking this time of year. Call 315-470-1910 and ask for suggested routes.
  • Apple-picking? Those same colorful hills just to our south are perfect for growing apples. There are scores of orchards in “Apple Country”, many of which allow you to pick your own fruit or reasonable prices. Find an orchard here. The late varieties like Northern Spy and Jonagold will be just right for picking.
  • Horseback-riding? Syracuse/Onondaga County has acres of verdant parkland. Take your pick of recreational activities, including horseback-riding at Highland Forest in Fabius. Check out the possibilities at www.OnondagaCountyParks.com.
  • Going out on the town? Happening hotspots are Downtown’s Armory Square (chic nightspot), Hanover Square (Olde-Europe-style quarter), Clinton Square (festival center with reflecting pool and monument), and Little Italy (redeveloping district honoring our Italian heritage, now home to cafés, restaurants, and specialty shops.) Find them on our map. Learn about their history at here.To see what is on the complete ’Cuse® calendar, click here, it is updated daily
